The Quan node daemon is the core element on the network. It provides blockchain local management, peer to peer replication of blocks and transactions, and a series of validation according to the consensus rules. It is a binary, executable file called quand. In its simplest way, it can be started without any option:
Quan node daemon starts two listeners. The Peer to Peer service listen, by default, on port 8313, and the RPC server uses port 8314. The Peer to Peer binds to all IP interfaces (0.0.0.0) while RPC service binds to loopback (127.0.0.1) unless changed by a command line option.
